Elbe
For more than 20 years they have been on the road together, the two Elbe skippers Kowsky and Gero. And the long period of time has forged a strong bond of friendship between the two, which does not break even when they suddenly find themselves on land and thus literally on dry land - unemployed and without prospects. Stranded on the banks of life, run aground. Since big money and fat orders are luring in far away Hamburg - at least that's what Hallodri Kowsky knows - the two bargemen in Gero's sailing dinghy set off on "their" river - the Elbe. A journey into the unknown begins, in the leisurely course of which the differences between the two men become clearly apparent. It is above all Kowsky, whose little tricks and lies turn the journey of the two men into a dramatic odyssey, in the course of which not only their vehicle is lost.
