Im Nächsten Leben is a 2008 German Feature Film directed by Marco Mittelstaedt. In the GDR era, Wolfgang Kerber (Edgar Selge) traveled around the world as sport reporter for a big Berlin newspaper. Searching for a missing girl, he is unexpectedly called to confronthimself with his own private. Step by step, Kerber's research becomes a journey into the past of a family whose great conflicts are long gone but still uprocessed - and only in the present able to a new chance for emotional processing.
