The life of the children of Bollersdorf could be so beautiful if the place had not been discovered by the Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung because of its mediocrity. New products are to be tested here. What the people of Bollersdorf like, can be sold well everywhere. But while the village's parents enthusiastically join in, their children quickly get fed up with the annoying product testers. All the more so when they want to deport their beloved grandmothers and grandfathers to the home so that the average age is right again. This is a case for the coati gang! Together with the clever Nose-bear nonsense, the children concoct a clever plan: With adventurous inventions and crazy world records they want to prove Bollersdorf's uniqueness, so that the consumer researchers finally disappear again...
